AN UNREAL UNITY: DMA MFA FINAL EXHIBITION
What:
UCLA Department of Design Media Arts presents 2019 MFA Thesis Exhibition, “An Unreal Unity”
The department of Design Media Arts at UCLA is pleased to present a group exhibition featuring the work of its 2019 MFA candidates. The exhibition features screen-based and interactive artwork, large-scale installations, and immersive projection. Themes include the Anthropocene, corporeal estrangement, speculative interventions, and emotional inquest. Participating artists are Hye Min Cho, Kit Kirby, Sara Drake, Isabelle Chen, Lena NW, Phazero, Maru Garcia, Carlos “L05” Garcia, Sam Congdon, Julian Stein, and Paul Carlo Esposito.
This event is FREE and OPEN to the public.
When:
The department will host an opening reception for the exhibition on Thursday, May 16th at 5pm.
The exhibition will be open weekdays from 10:00am to 5:00pm through May 30th.

The exhibition will take place in the UCLA Broad Art Center’s New Wight Gallery, Broad Art Center, Suite 1100 Los Angeles, CA 90095.
