I create, perform, publish, and exhibit work under the alias L05.
I come from a deep background of immersive experience design and programming, combining live performance, theater, large-scale installation, immersive cinema, and virtual reality. I have a formal education in both computer science and sound engineering and work on everything from interactivity scripting to streamlining production workflows and rendering pipelines. I love building tools and creating with procedural techniques.
I am a member of Detroit-based artist collective Complex Movements, helping shape the sonic, visual, and narrative experiences as one of five lead artists and serving as the group’s technical director.
I am a 2019 United States Artists Fellow, 2019 Eyeo Festival Curatorial Fellow, 2018 Santa Fe Institute Artist-in-Residence, Kresge Artist Fellow, Creative Capital Artist, and a member of the Design Justice Network. I have also had work featured in publications such as Art in America, Vice Creators, The Fader, Complex, HowlRound, and more.
